Farewell Winter Twinkle

Farewell Winter Twinkle

Farewell Winter Twinkle

I walk through the park and I think I’m alone.
No leaves on the trees, autumn wind has them blown.

I have the strange feeling someone whispers to me
and my spirit, who wonders, seems something to see.

It’s the cold face of winter high up in the twigs.
It’s the last of his frosty and bone-chilling gigs.

His face looks at me with its one light blue eye.
He seems to twinkle, murmurs quietly bye bye.
